Nettle & Rosemary Shampoo Bar
A natural green herbal shampoo bar. The fragrance coming naturally from the blend of rosemary, cedarwood and lemongrass essential oils, with the added ground nettle and green tea wax giving the colour. It is ph. balanced to be kind to your hair and scalp. With a cleansing blend of coconut/vegetable derived surfactants making it ideal for normal to oily hair, or for those whose lifestyle (sporty or dirty environment) means they like a more cleansing shampoo. Bar One has conditioning coconut oil, wheat protein and pro vitamin B5 blended in.
Why we add what we do
Ground Nettle has traditionally been used by herbalists to alleviate scalp and skin conditions. It is also thought to simulate hair growth and hair loss.
Green Tea Wax is known for its natural antioxidant properties.
Rosemary Essential Oil is used by trichologists for its analgesic properties to sooth irritated scalps and treat dandruff. This herb oil is believed to promote hair growth and add shine.
Cedarwood Essential Oil has antifungal and antibacterial properties and therefore thought to help with dandruff and hair loss. Cedarwood is also thought to help balance sebum production.
Lemongrass Essential Oil is thought to be beneficial in the treatment of dandruff and a flake-free scalp.
Coconut Oil is rich in vitamins and fatty acids that help nourish the scalp and are thought to penetrate the cuticle of the hair. Great for hair growth, a great hair protector.
Wheat Protein has hair repairing properties, makes hair easier to comb, improves colour deposition and the retention of dyes on hair.
Pro Vitamin B5 provides long lasting moisturisation as its small molecular structure penetrates the hair shaft, making the hair feel softer, shinier with reduced static. The hair is conditioned without product build up.
